The Project

RK&K completed a technical noise analysis for this $2.5 billion project encompassing a 7-mile-long corridor located in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia and included the River Crossing and four interchanges; Telegraph Road, US Route 1, I-295 and MD 210, in support of the Project’s Supplemental EIS.

From the effort, ten barrier systems protecting 459 residences, three schools, four parks and one church were recommended for further detailed noise analysis, also completed by RK&K.

Additionally, we completed ambient measurement of test piles and developed prediction model for potential future pile noise. We also developed construction project noise specifications and reviewed shop drawings for conformance to the approved noise analysis.
