The American Council of Engineering (ACEC) recently recognized two RK&K projects with national Engineering Excellence Awards.

Patapsco Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Patapsco Wastewater Treatment Plant Enhanced Nutrient Removal Facility was selected for an Honor Award at ACEC’s 2021 Virtual Engineering Excellence Awards Gala, known as the “Academy Awards of the engineering industry.” RK&K served Baltimore City on all phases of the project including design, bidding, construction, and commissioning. The team also managed and coordinated a large team of subconsultants throughout the project.

Senator Margaret Rose Bridge

RK&K’s work on the Senator Margaret Rose Bridge for the Delaware Department of Transportation was also recognized with a National Recognition Award. The team provided engineering services for the bridge and approaches from project development through construction engineering. Through innovative engineering techniques, the bridge and its network of new approach roadways and multi-use paths encourage economic development and community connectivity for southern Wilmington.
