Brad has more than 20 years of experience working on a broad range of utility infrastructure projects, including planning, design, and permitting of water treatment and wastewater treatment plants. In addition, Brad also has extensive experience assisting public and private clients with water/wastewater utility system valuations, utility system mergers and acquisitions, as well as preparing cost-of-service studies. His experience and expertise enhance the firm’s services, bringing new capabilities in management consulting to our municipal and utility clients. Brad will focus on building new relationships with clients in central Florida and strengthening those with existing clients.

Brad comes from a military family living abroad until he settled in the Orlando area, which he continues to call home today. Following his graduation from the University of Central Florida with an Environmental Engineering degree, Brad began his career working as an engineer at both small, local firms and large, public firms. More recently, Brad ran a successful start-up that provides specialized technologies for nitrogen reduction in wastewater effluent. Brad’s entrepreneurial nature is a perfect fit for RK&K and our focus on creativity and innovation.

“I grew up in an automotive-influenced family where I began mechanical work very early in life,” Brad said. “I worked for a facility where I assembled and repaired small scale turbine engines while I went to the University of Central Florida, beginning my major in mechanical engineering. I thought that mechanical engineering was a natural progression for me but once I began my core engineering courses, I took significant interest in the fluids-related classes. The fluids related classes ultimately steered me into the direction of Environmental Engineering. My professional career has kept me consistently involved in pumping and piping systems as well as mechanical and biological systems for both water and wastewater. This experience has allowed me to have an exciting and challenging career as well as allowing me to secure multiple wastewater patents.”

“I chose RK&K for the position’s conceptual strategy to increase Florida’s market share, the reputation and culture of the firm, and the overall tone and enthusiasm experienced from multiple meetings with RK&K staff,” Brad said. “I’m very excited about the opportunity to leverage my experience and client relationships in our growing Florida market.”

In his spare time, Brad volunteers at local animal shelters, participates in adventure races, and has a fully equipped garage where he restores motorcycles, boats, and cars.
