Plats Created

The Project

RK&K was responsible for preparing 24 Maryland State Highway Administration plats for this road widening project.

RK&K performed work associated with these plats including developing a property mosaic, field recovery and locating of existing property markers, performed computations for parcel lines and proposed fee-simple and easement areas. Finally plats where developed to SHA standards showing all proposed fee-simple and easement areas for SHA acquisition.

RK&K was also tasked with performing environmental surveys along the corridor that included field locating specimen trees, wetland flags, waters of the U.S. flags and taking cross-sections of existing streams.

“This survey project provided some unique challenges with re-establishing old parcel lines and the original baseline and right-of-way of route 32. Through a lot of work and research we were able to compute the position of these lines.”
