Earlier this month, the completion of the Scott’s Run Trail project was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Fairfax County and Virginia Department of Transportation leaders and covered by Inside NoVA.
RK&K provided on-site testing and inspection services for the 2,500-foot-long asphalt trail running between Chain Bridge and Magarity roads and through Westgate and Scott’s Run Stream Valley parks.
“This project is a great project, not only for Tysons but for the people who live in the communities around here, connecting them to transit, connecting them through beautiful park property, connecting them with nature,” said Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeff McKay during the ceremony. “Giving people an opportunity to get around in ways other than their cars is an important part of our long-term sustainability of Fairfax County and is an important part of our personal health, as well.
