Two RK&K inspectors recently earned recognition as “Inspector of the Year” consultant awards by VDOT Hampton Roads District, including Senior Construction Inspector John Liles. Liles was honored as “Inspector of the Year” in the Major Projects Construction category for his work related to inspection and assisting with completion of the I-264 Witchduck Interchange project in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
“John was commended for his ability to collaborate with the contractor and engineer related to successful dry run calculation and setting screed on the skewed bridge,” said Project Delivery Leader Grant Howerton, PE, CCM. “He was noted as a problem solver who always shares his bridge experience to develop others and leave a quality bridge for the public.”
