Sewer Collection & Conveyance
RK&K offers extensive experience in the planning and design of wastewater collection and conveyance systems, including conventional gravity sewers, vacuum and low-pressure systems, parallel relief sewers, interceptors, and force mains. Our work spans a wide range of pipeline sizes from under 4 inches to 108 inches in diameter and operating pressures from below 50 psi to 350 psi, and we design systems using a variety of materials and installation techniques to meet site-specific needs.
RK&K provides comprehensive sewer system assessment and rehabilitation services, backed by decades of experience and a team of certified professionals in NASSCO PACP and MACP standards.
Our investigations include manhole inspections, smoke and dye testing, flow isolation, line cleaning, CCTV inspection, and core sampling. We identify issues such as pipe wall failure, joint separation, corrosion, erosion, scouring, tuberculation, and inflow/infiltration (I/I), using NASSCO ratings to prioritize rehabilitation based on risk and impact.
We specialize in the rehabilitation, repair, and replacement of deteriorating or undersized sewer systems. Our team evaluates both traditional and in-situ methods, including slip lining, compression-fit HDPE, carbon fiber lining, fold-and-form, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), and chemical grouting.
All designs are developed with service continuity and pipeline isolation in mind, ensuring minimal disruption during construction.
