The Project

The Northwest Boulevard Streetscape Feasibility Study will evaluate opportunities to transform the corridor between University Parkway and Ivy Avenue into a safer, more connected, and vibrant public space. The study will incorporate community input, existing conditions analysis, and design best practices to develop a vision that reflects local character and supports multimodal transportation, environmental sustainability, and economic growth.

Over a twelve-month timeline, the project will include stakeholder engagement, fieldwork, and technical analysis to inform the development of up to three conceptual alternatives. These concepts will address pedestrian and vehicular safety, ADA accessibility, green infrastructure, placemaking, and aesthetic enhancements.

Following public review and refinement, a final feasibility report will be produced, outlining the preferred concept, cost estimates, and implementation strategies. The plan will be presented to City Council, positioning the corridor for future investment and long-term success.

This study represents a critical step toward transforming Northwest Boulevard into a vibrant, inclusive, and resilient corridor that serves the needs of current and future generations.
