The Project

Under this three-year on-call contract, RK&K is providing consulting engineering services for various greenway/multimodal and transportation-related projects. The scope of work includes:

  • Design Services: Full engineering and construction administration services for the Turkey Creek Greenway Phase 5 project, which includes the delivery of over 2,300 feet of a 10-foot-wide multiuse path along South Cumberland Street within downtown Morristown.
  • ADA Compliance: This task aims to improve pedestrian and bicyclist movement by adding new ADA-compliant sidewalks and curb ramps, along with overall storm drainage improvements within the corridor limits.
  • Traffic Improvements: Enhancements under this contract will also include improvements for crosswalk striping, signage, pedestrian signals, and signalization upgrades at two major intersections within the corridor.

The project aligns with previous experience in managing similar TDOT LAP projects, demonstrating RK&K’s capability in delivering effective solutions for community infrastructure needs. The focus on ADA compliance and multimodal transportation reflects current best practices in urban planning and public safety.
