The Project

Since contract award in April of 2017, RK&K has completed six cultural resource investigations on behalf of WVDOH. For each project, RK&K coordinated with the client and agency officials to develop a scope of work and budget that tailored cultural resource services to meet project-specific needs.

These projects were multi-faceted, involved a range of cultural resource types, and required technical expertise from a variety of disciplines—archaeologists, architectural historians, geomorphologists, GIS analysts, and engineers.

Multiple projects were managed simultaneously and RK&K responded to changing project needs through close coordination with WVDOH and the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office (WV SHPO).

“We coordinated complex field and laboratory efforts and tracked project tasks to ensure timely and thorough completion. All project deliverables were submitted to the client ahead of projected deadlines.”
