The Project
RK&K performed planning activities to implement advanced traffic signal technology including adaptive signal control, advanced communications, signal performance measures, and connected vehicle technology for critical corridors throughout the state.
Smart signals will improve traffic operations and safety and will reduce delay and congestion. RK&K performed system engineering activities including the concept of operations, experimental work plan, systems engineering management plan, systems engineering requirements form, and smart traffic signal validation plan.
