The Project

The Southern Gas Company (SGC) selected RK&K to develop construction plans for their new master gate station at the confluence of three pipelines.

SGC has an agreement with Dominion Power to take high pressure gas from the Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP). The ACP will be jointly owned by SGC and the pipeline project initiated the rehabilitation of VNG’s existing South Gate 1 station.

The station is currently delivered from TransCanada and eventually will be receiving gas from the ACP and VNG’s 24-inch 1250 MAOP Hampton Roads Connector pipeline.

RK&K developed construction drawings for a 17,000 MCFH, 1440 MAOP master gate station and associated environmental and building permits with the City of Chesapeake, Virginia.
