RK&K is searching for an experienced highway design engineer in its Fairfax, Virginia office. This position will consist of developing design solutions and managing junior staff on roadway design projects. Experience and working knowledge of drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control as they relate to roadway design is desirable. Candidate must be experienced in producing transportation construction documents, specifications and engineering construction cost estimates for VDOT. Successful candidate will be able to work in a cooperative environment and mentor / develop junior staff.

BS in Civil Engineering with 8 or more years of progressive design experience

Commonwealth of Virginia Professional Engineer Registration (Current)

Experience in leading roadway design projects and completing roadway design tasks

Hands-on Microstation Platform expertise

Proficiency with geometric modeling platforms with a preference for Geopack experience

Preferred Credentials:

MS degree in Civil Engineering

Experience with drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control

Pre-Employment Conditions:
